Resident Evil Village Surpasses 400,000 Viewers Prior to Release

“Resident Evil Village” Reaches Impressive Viewer Count on Twitch

The highly anticipated game “Resident Evil Village” is already generating a lot of buzz on Twitch, attracting over 400,000 viewers a day before its official worldwide release.

The latest installment in Capcom’s survival horror franchise has received positive reviews and captivated thousands of fans with its disturbing and intense storytelling. Even before its official release, the game was being streamed by over 200 channels. At its peak, “Resident Evil Village” reached 405,000 concurrent viewers and maintained an average of around 150,000 throughout the day, according to Twitchmetrics.

However, it is expected that viewership will gradually decline as more players obtain the game or lose interest after experiencing the gameplay and story elements.

This trend of high early viewership aligns with other recent releases like “Returnal” and “Naraka: Bladepoint’s” open beta. Nevertheless, “Resident Evil Village” has outperformed those titles, including Sony’s PlayStation 5 exclusive and the new battle royale game, in terms of viewer numbers.

“Resident Evil Village” will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and Google Stadia starting May 7.
