Requirements for Twitch Affiliates and Partners

How to Monetize Your Twitch Channel as an Affiliate or Partner

To start making money from your Twitch channel, you need to become an Affiliate or Partner. However, there are some requirements you need to meet before achieving this status.

1. Becoming an Affiliate

If you’re dedicated to your channel and have a small group of friends who are willing to watch you, becoming an Affiliate is the easier option.

  • Have at least 500 minutes of airtime in a 30-day period
  • Stream at least seven times in a 30-day period
  • Maintain an average of three concurrent viewers in a 30-day period
  • Gain at least 50 followers

Meeting all these requirements simultaneously will make you eligible to become an Affiliate. You can track your progress on the “Achievements” page under the “Insights” tab on your creator dashboard.

2. Applying for the Partner Program

Once you have achieved Affiliate status, you can aim to become a Twitch Partner. However, meeting the specific requirements doesn’t guarantee automatically becoming a Partner. It’s just the first step.

  • Stream for a minimum of 25 hours in a 30-day period
  • Have streams on at least 12 different days
  • Maintain an average of at least 75 concurrent viewers in a 30-day period

Meeting these criteria during the same 30-day period makes you eligible to apply for the Partner Program. However, the approval of your application is not guaranteed.
