QTCinderella states that attending The Streamer Awards will result in a $200,000 expense

QTCinderella and Maya Higa to Host The Streamer Awards

Popular Twitch streamers QTCinderella and Maya Higa are teaming up to host The Streamer Awards, their first-ever streamer award show. The highly-anticipated event is scheduled to premiere on March 12. QTCinderella recently discussed the significant cost involved in organizing the awards.

Exclusive Seating and Invitations

During her stream, QTCinderella, who is partnered with TSM, explained that due to the high expenses, the seating and invitations for the event had to be exclusive. She expressed empathy, saying, “It makes me feel bad because I used to be that 20 viewer Andy that really wanted to get invited to stuff. I’m really sorry, but I do need to know you or you have to be well-known in the industry in order to come.”

The Cost of The Streamer Awards

QTCinderella provided a sneak peek into the financials, revealing that the event will cost her approximately $200,000. With an expected guest count of 200, including both nominated streamers and audience members, the Twitch streamer budgeted $1,000 per seat.

Location and Precautions

The inaugural Streamer Awards will take place live from Hollywood on QTCinderella’s Twitch channel. Adhering to all the necessary COVID-19 precautions, QTCinderella hopes to have an in-person audience and a red carpet event before the show begins.

Nomination and Voting

The nomination phase for the awards has recently concluded, and public voting is now open. Viewers can visit TheStreamerAwards.com to cast their votes in the 28 available categories. Voting will close on March 6, six days before the event.
