QTCinderella pleads with Twitch streamers to ignore ‘sexist men’ seeking attention

Twitch Streamer QTCinderella Calls for an End to Platforming Sexist Influencers

Twitch streamer QTCinderella has made a plea to her fellow Twitch and YouTube livestreamers to stop giving attention and platforms to sexist influencers who have been gaining traction on the internet.

Recently, Andrew Tate, a former kickboxer and reality TV guest, has become a significant topic of discussion among Twitch streamers. He, along with his imitators, propagates a highly divisive and deeply sexist worldview that has raised concerns among long-standing creators on Twitch and YouTube.

QTCinderella Speaks Out Against ‘Hot Take’ Men

In response to a video showing a young Twitch streamer harassing a woman online for content, QTCinderella took to Twitter to call for an end to platforming and giving attention to “hot take” sexist men.

QTCinderella pleaded with other streamers, saying, “I am BEGGING all streamers to stop platforming/giving attention to ‘hot take’ sexist men currently blossoming on the internet. Their desperate desire for attention is contagious, and it’s disheartening to see it spread.”

The Consequences of Promoting Andrew Tate and Others

By engaging with Andrew Tate and similar creators, not only do streamers bring more attention and viewership to their platforms, but they also inadvertently boost the reach of these influencers. For example, political streamer Hasan’s stream, where he briefly debated Tate, gained over 60,000 viewers and almost 5,000 followers during the exchange, according to Streams Charts.

Despite the potential increase in viewership, QTCinderella argues that the negative impact of promoting such creators outweighs any possible benefits.

Moving Towards a Better Twitch Meta

While these types of creators still have a presence in the Twitch community, QTCinderella hopes that cutting out figures like Andrew Tate will expedite the process of removing their influence.
