‘Politics has no place here’: Trainwreck urges Twitch to enforce policies on streamers discussing politics at work

Tyler ‘Trainwreck’ Niknam Takes on Twitch and Plans to Launch His Own Streaming Platform

Tyler ‘Trainwreck’ Niknam is currently engaged in a fierce battle against Twitch and its top stars. He accuses them of conspiring against him to satisfy their own self-centered agendas. In response, Trainwreck is on the brink of launching his own streaming platform to distance himself from them once and for all.

However, before parting ways, Trainwreck had some advice for the Amazon platform—he urged them to start treating themselves as a workplace and prevent streamers from bringing their political stances into the office.

“They need to approach these individuals and say, ‘Listen. You need to put away all the politics you brought from your own home to work. You need to pack it up, put it in your bag, and take it back home,” he stated during an episode of his Scuffed Podcast.

Trainwreck firmly believes that personal politics have no place in the workplace or business. He emphasized, “Your personal politics do not belong here at work.”

“Right now, I believe there is too much influence of personal politics from home being brought to work,” he continued. “This is why Twitch is struggling financially. These policy changes that are completely backward, for the most part, stem from that nonsense!”

Trainwreck specifically referred to Twitch’s decision to ban most forms of gambling, a move influenced by several stars who campaigned for it, including Mizkif and Pokimane. He described the latter as “one of the most corrupt figures.”

Even if Twitch chooses not to heed Trainwreck’s advice, it will have no impact on his plans to launch his own platform.

Trainwreck’s new site, designed to rival Twitch, is expected to launch as early as November this year. The platform will align with his vision, which focuses on supporting mid-sized creators who he believes are the foundation of the industry, rather than prioritizing larger streamers.

We can expect to learn more about the platform’s appearance and the streamers who will be onboard in the coming weeks when Trainwreck finally unveils his site timeline.
