Pokimane expresses reluctance in participating in boxing events for Twitch streamers

Upcoming Creator Clash Event Generates Excitement for Potential Super Fights

After the success of the Creator Clash, a boxing event featuring Twitch and YouTube stars, fans and streamers are already discussing potential matchups for the next event.

Jeremy “Disguised Toast” Wang has expressed interest in participating and is considering potential opponents. Meanwhile, Hasan “HasanAbi” Piker, following a fallout with Felix “xQc” Lengyel over streamer rankings, has confidently claimed that he would defeat xQc in the ring.

There have been suggestions of including Iman “Pokimane” Anys in the event, with Ludwig Ahgren even claiming that she could defeat him. However, Pokimane herself is uncertain about participating in boxing matches.

During her stream on June 20, Pokimane stated, “I feel like I really could beat some ass, but I also feel like I’d need a reason to. I could fight for what I love or what I care about or what I feel is true. But if someone is like, ‘Hey! Just go fight this person!’ I’ll be like… ahh! That’s a lot of work, you know? And I don’t know about that.”

While Pokimane is not completely opposed to the idea, she is hesitant due to the intensive training involved and the risks to her health and well-being.

In contrast, Valkyrae is more open to the idea and has even begun training for potential fights. However, fans hoping to see a matchup between Pokimane and Valkyrae will need to look elsewhere.

The second Creator Clash event is scheduled for Spring 2023 and aims to surpass the success of the first event, which garnered over 100,000 pay-per-view purchases and raised $1.3 million for various charitable organizations, including The Alzheimer’s Association, American Heart Association, and The Healing Horse Therapy Center.
