Pokimane Receives Gift and Confronts Trainwrecks on Stream
Pokimane recently received a generous gift of 100,000 bits ($1,000) from Trainwrecks during a livestream on October 8. This unexpected donation sparked a conversation between the two streamers, as Pokimane addressed Trainwrecks’ previous criticism of her during a debate about gambling.
Trainwrecks included a message with his gift, expressing his desire to settle their differences and at least maintain a neutral relationship. He wished Pokimane a good rest of the stream, emphasizing the positive atmosphere that she had created.
Upon receiving the donation, Pokimane expressed her surprise and clarified that she never intended to have any conflict with Trainwrecks. However, she couldn’t help but be curious about his previous statement where he referred to her as the most corrupt person on Twitch. She wanted to understand his reasoning, hoping that they could move past it after the discussion.
In response, Trainwrecks apologized for any misunderstanding and explained that he never meant to pass harsh judgments on individuals. He acknowledged that his words may have conveyed a different message, and he sincerely regretted that.
To clarify the situation, Pokimane presented Trainwreck with a Dexerto article that highlighted his previous statement. His initial response was laughter, followed by the acknowledgment that they may have differing opinions on certain topics. He proposed the possibility of a private conversation in the future to further explore their perspectives and hopefully find a resolution. At this point, Pokimane was focused on playing VALORANT and may not have noticed or chosen not to respond to his message.
In a previous debate with xQc about gambling policies on streaming platforms, Trainwrecks referred to Pokimane as the “most corrupt” person on Twitch. This incident led to their recent conversation and attempt to understand each other’s perspectives.
As one of Twitch’s top female streamers, Pokimane has been actively vocal against the increasing presence of gambling streams on the platform. Both Trainwrecks and xQc had previously streamed gambling content on Twitch before stricter policies were implemented.
Pokimane has also expressed her concerns with Twitch’s competitor, Kick, which has a more lenient policy regarding gambling streams. She has made it clear that she values her integrity and would not switch to the platform, regardless of the financial incentives offered.
