Pokimane Shares Her Thoughts on Fuslie’s Switch from Twitch to YouTube
Last week, popular content creator Fuslie shocked fans when she announced she was leaving Twitch and joining YouTube Gaming. Joining the growing list of streamers who have made the switch from Amazon-owned Twitch, Fuslie cited the fear of DMCA strikes and the desire to experiment with her stream as the main reasons for her departure.
However, fellow streamer and friend Pokimane believes that Fuslie may have been better off staying on Twitch. According to Pokimane, Twitch still offers more potential for growth compared to YouTube.
Pokimane expressed her feelings, saying, “As a streamer on Twitch, it makes me kind of sad because I felt like she was just gonna keep popping off so much on Twitch. Maybe she still will on YouTube, I don’t know as much about YouTube streaming to be honest.”
She also compared Fuslie’s situation to that of Ludwig, another popular streamer who has found success on YouTube by consistently uploading videos and streaming frequently.
Despite her reservations, Pokimane is still happy for her longtime friend and proud of her achievements. She stated, “As a friend of Leslie’s for many years, I am so proud of her, so happy for her. The way she’s grown her community over the years and the things that she stands for, she’s just a lovely content creator.”
