NRG’s Pro Apex Legends Player, dizzy, Transitions to Streaming as Main Priority

Apex Legends Pro Dizzy Retires from Competitive Scene to Focus on Streaming

Colby “dizzy” Meadows, a professional player of Apex Legends, announced his retirement from NRG Esports and the competitive scene, opting to pursue full-time streaming instead. In a Twitter post, Dizzy shared the news with his fans, expressing his excitement for this new chapter in his life.

Dizzy stated, “As of today, I’m starting a new chapter in my life and have decided to focus on my stream and part ways with NRG and will no longer be competing professionally. My primary focus will now be on streaming Apex Legends and expanding my content to provide you, my fans, with the dizzy you all know best.”

The 19-year old expressed his gratitude towards NRG and his fans for their support throughout the past 10 months. He also revealed that personal challenges led to an irregular broadcast schedule, prompting him to reassess his passion, which ultimately led him to pursue streaming.

NRG expressed its support for Dizzy’s decision, commending him as a breakout star and acknowledging his significant contribution to the Apex scene. They thanked him on Twitter, saying, “this year @dizzy became a breakout star. he won the hearts of fans all across the world and helped NRG explode into the apex scene. after much consideration, he has decided to take a step back and retire from competitive apex legends. thank you for everything #NRGfam forever.”

Dizzy was highly regarded as one of the best Apex players and played a crucial role in his team’s success in competitions. In September, NRG secured first place at TwitchCon San Diego, earning a prize of $60,000.

Although Dizzy will no longer be seen on the competitive stage, fans can still catch him streaming on his Twitch channel, with his return stream scheduled for tomorrow.
