Ninja’s Stream Exclusively Moves to Mixer

Tyler “Ninja” Blevins Moves to Microsoft-owned Mixer

Popular streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins made a surprising announcement today that he will be leaving Twitch, a livestreaming platform, and exclusively streaming on Microsoft-owned Mixer. In a high-budget video, Ninja answered questions from himself dressed as journalists, explaining that this move allows him to reconnect with his roots and remember why he fell in love with streaming in the first place.

Continuing His Journey on a Different Platform

Ninja reassured his viewers that despite the change in platform, he remains the same person. However, this transition will be a significant blow to Twitch, as Ninja was one of their most popular streamers with 14.6 million followers.

A Divide among Viewers

Some of Ninja’s viewers are conflicted about his decision. While some applaud him, others express disappointment about not being able to watch him on Twitch anymore.

Growth of Mixer and Twitch’s Decline

In Q2 2019, Twitch experienced its first decline in growth, while Mixer saw a substantial increase of 357% in year over year hours watched, reaching 119 million hours, according to StreamLabs.

Ninja will make his debut stream on Mixer on August 2nd at 12pm CT from Lollapalooza Festival.
