In the past two years, Ninja’s rise to fame has captivated the esports world. However, there were many other significant events that shaped his decade.
Partnered with Red Bull, Ninja created a YouTube video where he reflected on the biggest moments of each year. It all began in 2010 when he got fired from his job at Noodles & Co.
Ninja recounted his experience of winning a Halo tournament in Columbus. However, he needed a friend to cover for him at work, which ultimately led to his dismissal. Despite losing his job, Ninja was ecstatic about his victory.
Over the following years, Ninja had numerous tournament wins and even proposed to his wife, Jessica.
Among the highlights, there was one negative moment. In 2014, Ninja underwent eye surgery that temporarily prevented him from playing and streaming Destiny. After recovering, he noticed a significant drop in viewers on his Twitch channel.
