NIJISANJI VTuber concert cancellation due to mounting COVID-19 concerns

NIJISANJI Cancels AR LIVE COLORS Concert Due to COVID-19 Outbreaks in Japan

NIJISANJI, the VTuber agency, has been forced to cancel its AR LIVE COLORS concert due to the increasing number of COVID-19 outbreaks in Japan. This has resulted in delays in live shooting and video production for the agency.

Refund Information to be Provided

In an official statement shared on Twitter, the agency stated that they are currently making the necessary adjustments to provide information regarding the refund of already purchased online attendance tickets as soon as possible.

Possible Rescheduling in the Future

NIJISANJI has assured fans that there may be a possible rescheduling of the event, and any updates will be announced on their official website and social media platforms at a later date. The agency also apologized to fans and asked for their understanding.

Disappointed VTubers Respond to Cancellation

Shu Yamino, one of the VTubers, broke the news about the cancellation on Twitter by sharing an English copy of NIJISANJI’s statement. The VTuber expressed their disappointment with a simple tweet: “Sorry I don’t think I’m mentally well enough to make a comment about AR Live right now but… disappointed. That is all.”

Other VTubers, such as Luca Kaneshiro and Rosemi Lovelock, also expressed their disappointment and sadness over the cancellation on Twitter.

Postponed, Not Cancelled

Pomu Rainpuff addressed the situation during her stream and clarified that the AR LIVE COLORS concert has been postponed, not cancelled. She emphasized that there is no new date yet, but it will eventually come back. Pomu explained that while the official wording may say “cancelled,” it is actually just a postponement.

Originally scheduled for April 7, the COLORS concert was set to feature performances from 19 NIJISANJI VTubers, including a PASTEL Stage and a VIVID Stage.

Update Feb. 2, 1.06am: Pomu Rainpuff discussed the situation during her Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake stream today, emphasizing that COLORS AR LIVE was postponed rather than cancelled.
