NICKMERCS experiences increased viewership during enchanting Hogwarts Legacy playthrough

NICKMERCS Finds Success Playing Hogwarts Legacy on Twitch

NICKMERCS, known for his battle royale gaming content, has recently gained popularity on Twitch while playing the single-player game Hogwarts Legacy.

Early access for Hogwarts Legacy began this week, and many creators, including Mercs, have participated in sponsored streams for the new Harry Potter IP. Mercs took a break from the multiplayer grind to enjoy some story-driven fun.

Despite some controversy surrounding author J.K. Rowling’s comments, many gaming fans have turned to Twitch to watch Hogwarts Legacy due to the associated Twitch drops.

This week, Mercs played Hogwarts Legacy for over 15 hours during two streams. The game garnered his highest average viewership of any game he has played so far this year.

With an average viewership of 28,887, according to Streams Charts, Hogwarts Legacy has outperformed Call of Duty: Warzone for Mercs. His average viewership for Warzone, over nearly 138 hours of airtime, is 21,721. Both Apex Legends and Fortnite have yielded averages of under 20,000 viewers.

Hogwarts Legacy also helped Mercs achieve his highest peak viewership in 2023. On February 7, he reached a peak of 46,171 viewers while playing the game, slightly surpassing his Warzone viewership on January 6 of 45,457.

Mercs is currently one of the top 10 most-watched streamers playing Hogwarts Legacy, with his average viewership ranking in the top 10 on Twitch. However, he is far behind the top streamer, XQc, whose playthrough has generated almost 1.9 million hours watched, with an average of over 85,000.

While 30,000 viewers may seem impressive, Mercs had better average viewership last year playing Fortnite, with just under 100 hours of playtime. He also had higher averages in the “sports” category, where he hosted NFL Thursday Night Football viewing parties in partnership with the league.
