‘NICKMERCS criticizes Halo for failing to live up to expectations due to pride and ego’

NICKMERCS Criticizes 343 Industries for Halo Infinite’s Decline

Popular Twitch streamer and avid fan of battle royale and FPS games, NICKMERCS, had some strong words for game developer 343 Industries. According to him, the company’s pride and ego prevented Halo Infinite from becoming a top-tier title.

Halo Infinite, the latest installment in the beloved FPS franchise, initially received high praises upon its release. The game not only attracted old veterans but also introduced a multitude of new players to the series. In fact, within the first month of its release, Halo Infinite garnered an impressive average of nearly 150,000 concurrent players on Steam alone, as reported by Steam Charts. It seemed like Halo Infinite was on its way to the top, especially with the growth of its competitive scene.

NICKMERCS Expresses Frustration Over Halo Infinite’s Lack of Updates

However, Halo Infinite experienced a significant decline in its player base within just one month. The number of active players plummeted by over 85,000, leaving the game with only 4,000 concurrent players. Both players and content creators blamed 343 Industries for the lack of updates and responsiveness. They urged the developers to introduce popular modes like battle royale to revive the game, but unfortunately, no such updates were made.

During a passionate on-stream rant, NICKMERCS expressed his frustration over the missed potential of Halo Infinite. He criticized 343 Industries, stating, “The gaming community was ready for an amazing new game, and Halo dropped the ball.” As the co-owner of FaZe, he firmly believed that the blame for Halo Infinite’s decline solely rested on the shoulders of 343 Industries.

He continued, “Everyone at that company should be ashamed. 343 is a joke, they’re awful, and they don’t care about their players, old or new. Their pride and ego ruined what could have been an incredible game.”

Disappointment Over the Absence of Halo Battle Royale

NICKMERCS emphasized that despite Halo Infinite’s near-perfect setup, it was 343 Industries’ mismanagement of the game that led to its decline in average players. TimTheTatman agreed with NICKMERCS and together, they expressed their disappointment over the never-released but often teased Halo battle royale mode.

Although Halo Infinite may not regain its former glory in the near future, players like NICKMERCS will always remember the missed opportunity.
