Nairo announces upcoming return to YouTube streaming next week

Former Super Smash Bros. player Nairoby “Nairo” Quezada Returns to Streaming on YouTube

After being permanently suspended on Twitch, Nairoby Quezada has announced that he will be returning to streaming next week. Quezada, who streamed on Twitch for over seven years, made the decision to switch to YouTube for his content creation.

The Ban and Legal Battle

Quezada’s ban on Twitch came on Sept. 10 following allegations of sexual misconduct and predatory behavior made against him by Zack “CaptainZack” Lauth. Lauth claimed that Quezada engaged in a sexual relationship with him when Lauth was 15 and Quezada was 20. In response to these allegations, Quezada prepared a legal defense, stating that they were either false or inconsistent. In February, he announced that the two sides had reached a “legal agreement,” allowing him to focus on moving forward with his life and content creation.

Progress and Unbans

Since then, Quezada has submitted appeals to various platforms where he was banned. Tournament organizers such as 2GG and Collision Gaming have already unbanned him, and he is no longer included on the Smash Global ban list. The Super Smash Bros. community has also shown support for Quezada, with movements like #UnBanNairo trending on social media.

The Challenge Going Forward

However, Quezada still faces challenges due to his Twitch ban. He could potentially violate Twitch guidelines by playing games with other streamers who are banned on the platform. This could have consequences for his ability to compete in tournaments. Despite these difficulties, Quezada remains determined to try and regain his Twitch channel while streaming on YouTube starting from April 8.
