On July 9, Twitch hosted a highly anticipated event called “MrBeast vs. Ninja Ultimate Crown” featuring two League of Legends content creators. However, according to Doublelift’s comments on July 11, Riot and the LCS prevented Bjergsen from participating.

Riot Suspends Doublelift’s Co-stream Permissions in Response to “Dying League” Comments

Expressing his frustration, Doublelift criticized Riot and the LCS for blocking Bjergsen from the event. He stated that the league’s viewership is declining and questioned why they wouldn’t let one of the league’s prominent faces participate in an event with two of the biggest creators worldwide. As a consequence of his comments, Riot suspended Doublelift’s co-stream permissions until after the upcoming LCS games.

MrBeast Criticizes Riot’s Restriction on Open Discourse

Making his opinion known, MrBeast responded to the situation on Twitter. He called out Riot, a massive company, for seemingly discouraging an open discourse about the league.

Despite Bjergsen’s absence, the MrBeast vs. Ninja showmatch in League of Legends proceeded smoothly and was enjoyed by fans. Remarkably, it attracted more viewers than the LCS did the week before, as reported by TwitchTracker.

Riot has not released an official statement regarding this situation yet.
