MoistCr1TiKaL endeavors to end Twitch partnership prematurely for streaming on alternative platforms

MoistCr1TiKaL Considering Departure from Twitch Due to Branded Content Guidelines

In response to Twitch’s announcement of new branded content guidelines, MoistCr1TiKaL is now seeking to end his Twitch contract early. These new guidelines would make it more difficult for streamers to earn additional revenue through sponsorship deals. MoistCr1TiKaL shared his thoughts in a YouTube video on June 7, expressing disappointment over the inability to host watch parties, which he enjoyed. While he plans to continue streaming on Twitch occasionally after he moves, he also wants to explore other platforms and their offerings.

MoistCr1TiKaL’s Attraction to YouTube

MoistCr1TiKaL has shown a preference for YouTube in the past. His YouTube channel, which he has been running since 2006, has gained significant popularity. With over 13 million subscribers, it far surpasses his Twitch following of five million. Consequently, YouTube seems like the ideal platform for him to stream on in the future, and his fans fully support this potential move.

Twitch’s Revised Decision and Streamer Migration to YouTube

Following the backlash, Twitch reversed its decision to implement the new branded content guidelines. However, this reversal came too late for MoistCr1TiKaL, as he had already voiced his opposition. The company’s initial consideration of these guidelines only hastened his decision to explore other streaming options. Other prominent streamers, such as Asmongold, have also threatened to leave Twitch for YouTube, although their follow-through remains uncertain. YouTube has already seen an exodus of notable streamers, including Valkyrae, CourageJD, Dr Disrespect, DrLupo, TimTheTatman, Ludwig, Sykkuno, LilyPichu, Myth, FaZe Swagg, and Fuslie.

Increasing Competition: New Platforms for Content Creators

In addition to YouTube, new platforms like Kick and Rumble are also emerging as viable alternatives. This expanding landscape empowers content creators with even more lucrative options to consider.
