Mizkif Alleges Impersonation: Faux Company Issues Copyright Strikes on Mizkif Clip Channels

Unknown Viewer or Company Copyright Strikes Mizkif’s Videos

Popular Twitch streamer and co-founder of OTK, Mizkif, has revealed that an unidentified viewer or company falsely assumed his identity and issued copyright strikes against various clip channels. As a result, multiple videos were taken down.

Clip Channels and Content Creator Debate

The use of clip channels by content creators like Mizkif and Hasanabi has sparked a debate within the community. Some streamers allow their viewers to compile clips for monetized YouTube videos, leading to the creation of numerous fan-made channels. However, there are others who actively seek to copyright strike such channels to maintain control over the monetization of their content.

Mizkif’s Experience with False Copyright Strikes

Mizkif recently encountered a case where someone assumed his identity to falsely issue copyright strikes against popular clip compilation channels. Prior to this incident, Mizkif had no issue with these channels and did not actively pursue takedowns. A Mizkif clip YouTuber contacted his manager, syn4ack, claiming to have been ordered to remove several videos.

Mizkif revealed, “Apparently, someone was pretending to be me and they copy-striked his videos, and his videos got taken down because they copy-striked his clips. YouTube thought it was me. It wasn’t me. I would never do that.”

Rare Case and Mizkif’s Guilt

Mizkif explained that while it’s somewhat common for unknown companies to attempt copyright strikes for financial gain, it is rare for an individual to falsely assume someone’s identity. The issue has been resolved, but Mizkif admits to feeling some guilt about the entire ordeal.
