Mixer addresses allegations of racism made by former employee

Mixer Responds to Allegations of Racism

A former employee of Mixer, Milan Lee, recently alleged that the company’s management made racist comments, including referring to partners as “slaves.” In response, Mixer addressed these claims and stated that it is committed to building a positive and inclusive team and community.

The company acknowledges that Lee’s experience was unacceptable and promises to address these issues more diligently moving forward.

According to Lee, he was told during his employment that he was hired because he was “street smart.” Additionally, he claims that a manager referred to themselves as a “slavemaster” during a meeting, asserting ownership over the Mixer partners and their content.

Despite Lee’s resignation and subsequent investigation by the legal team, the manager in question was found “not guilty.”

Many Mixer streamers have shown their support for Lee by refusing to stream on Microsoft’s platform until the issue is resolved.

Various Mixer streamers have voiced their concerns and are calling for immediate action to address the issue.

Mixer had previously condemned racism and injustice following the death of George Floyd. While the company claims to be committed to addressing racism more diligently in the future, many are demanding action now.
