Method quickly catches up and surpasses Limit’s 16-hour Race to World First advantage in under 12 hours

Method Catches Up to Complexity Limit in WoW Race to World First

European guilds in the World of Warcraft Race to World First (RWF) have gained access to the raid, and reigning RWF winner Method quickly caught up to North America’s top guild, Complexity Limit, within 12 hours.

Previously, WoW raids have always had a staggered release date, with North America gaining access 16 hours before European guilds. However, this hasn’t stopped the region from achieving world first finishes on every raid since 2018.

Although Limit faced a hindered start due to extended server maintenance, they eventually gained access to Ny’alotha, the Waking City, three hours later than anticipated. Despite this setback, North American guilds had about 13 hours to make progress before European guilds started their raid progression. On the first day, Limit managed to defeat seven out of the 12 bosses.

As European guilds began their progress, Limit’s seven boss lead quickly diminished as they faced stronger bosses in the raid that required more time and effort to strategize against.

Within a span of 12 hours, Method and fellow European guild Pieces have caught up to Limit, defeating all the bosses that Limit has killed so far, placing them in a prime position to compete for the RWF crown.

Method’s ability to close the gap on Limit is not surprising, as top guilds like Method typically breeze through the earlier bosses in raids. However, Limit still holds an advantage in terms of experience against the remaining bosses. They have made the most progress in the fight against Ra-den the Spoiler, bringing the boss down to around 15 percent health before wiping.

In their quest to catch up, Method stumbled along the way. Limit has defeated four of the shared bosses in fewer attempts than Method, with Xanesh, the Inquisitor being a notable example. Method took 38 attempts to defeat Xanesh, while Limit only needed 24 tries.

With the race heating up, it remains to be seen who will emerge as the victor in the WoW Race to World First.
