Livestreamer Maya Raises Over $500,000 for Alveus in Charity Livestream
Livestreamer and conservationist Maya recently held a fundathon charity livestream, raising over $500,000 for her nonprofit organization and exotic animal sanctuary, Alveus.
Viewers Donate and Bid on Items
During the livestream, viewers had the opportunity to donate to the fund and participate in auctions for items donated by popular streamers. All proceeds from the auctions went directly to Alveus.
Expensive and Unique Auction Items
Some of the auction items included a framed picture that sold for $6,000 and a sheet of bubble wrap that sold for $4,800. The most expensive items were T-Pain’s Gucci loafers, which sold for over $12,000, and xQc’s Luminosity Gaming jersey that sold for $12,500.
Top-Selling Items and Future Plans
The two highest-selling items of the livestream were an hour of gaming with Shroud, which sold for $53,000, and a golden shovel signed by Sodapoppin that sold for $31,000. With the funds raised, Maya plans to open an exotic animal sanctuary in Texas for conservation and education.
Maya also hosts a podcast called the Conservation Cast, where she discusses wildlife and conservation with professional guests. Through her platform, Maya aims to educate others about wildlife and inspire support for conservation efforts.
