Ludwig Criticizes Twitch for Deteriorating Their Website

Ludwig Criticizes Twitch’s Approach to Advertisements

Popular content creator Ludwig has joined the growing list of streamers criticizing Twitch’s advertising strategy in response to a recent Bloomberg report. According to the report, Twitch is planning to incentivize streamers to run more ads.

In a video on his YouTube channel, Mogul Mail, Ludwig expressed his concerns about how Twitch’s advertisements negatively impact the viewer experience. In just 10 minutes, he outlined the issues with the platform’s ad structure.

According to the recent Bloomberg report, Twitch may decrease the payouts for some streamers, eliminate exclusive deals, and encourage creators to play more ads during their streams. Ludwig pointed out that Twitch’s current advertising system is already questionable. Whenever a viewer switches between streams, they are subjected to at least one 30-second ad, causing frustration.

On the other hand, YouTube has implemented safeguards to protect viewers from excessive ads. After watching one ad, viewers are not forced to watch another when they switch to a different video or stream for a certain period of time. Additionally, YouTube ads are often shorter and can be skipped.

In November 2021, Ludwig made headlines by leaving Twitch for a more lucrative exclusive deal with YouTube. Regardless of his streaming platform, the influencer isn’t shy about sharing his opinions on the practices of both Twitch and YouTube.
