The Game Awards, one of the most prestigious awards ceremonies for content creators and streamers, added the Content Creator of the Year award in 2018. Previous winners include Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek, Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter, and Dream.

New Nominees for Content Creator of the Year

This year, however, none of the previous winners were nominated. Instead, the honor goes to five streamers who have never won before. Among them are the power couple Ludwig and QTCinderella.

Meet the Nominees

Karl Jacobs started as a Minecraft streamer and has now become an essential part of MrBeast’s YouTube team. He has also started a podcast and is working on adapting his Tales from the SMP stories into comics. Nibellion provides the latest industry news, while Nobru is a Brazilian Free Fire player who founded his own esports organization, Fluxo, in 2021 and has been expanding it ever since.

All of the nominees have made significant contributions to the industry in various ways throughout the year.
