LosPollosTV sets new livestream record with 162-hour broadcast

Twitch Streamer LosPollosTV Sets Record for Longest Livestream

Twitch streamer Louis “LosPollosTV” Sammartinos has made history as the record holder for the longest uninterrupted livestream on any platform. He recently completed a broadcast that lasted over 162 hours and is still going strong, solidifying his place in streaming history.

Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, LosPollosTV saw an opportunity to provide entertainment for people around the world who are stuck inside their homes. With the demand for new forms of entertainment on the rise, he decided to take advantage of the situation.

To engage his audience and extend his broadcast, LosPollosTV hosted a “sub-a-thon” stream where he added an extra two minutes to his stream for every subscription he received. He initially started the broadcast on March 29, but as the number of subscriptions increased, he realized he would be streaming for much longer than expected.

The previous record for the longest uninterrupted livestream was held by Hulu, with a total of 161 hours, 11 minutes, and 32 seconds streamed in May of last year. Although LosPollosTV didn’t set out to break this record, he realized he was close to achieving it once he reached the 100-hour mark.

When LosPollosTV mentioned the possibility of breaking the record to his audience, they showed their support by subscribing at a higher rate.

On April 5, LosPollosTV surpassed the previous record and celebrated with his dad and brother over a bottle of champagne. His family had traveled across the country to be with him during the pandemic and filled in for him when he needed breaks or naps. However, LosPollosTV isn’t finished yet. He made a promise to his followers that once he reaches 10,000 subscribers, he will continue the stream for an additional 40 hours.

This impressive marathon stream has brought considerable attention to LosPollosTV, who already had an established presence with over 400,000 Twitch followers. He joined Luminosity Gaming in July 2018 and is known for his gameplay in NBA 2K, Fortnite, Uno, and Call of Duty.
