Leaked insights into Valkyrae’s perspectives on RFLCT

Valkyrae Faces Backlash over RFLCT Skincare Controversy

Valkyrae finds herself in hot water yet again as the controversy surrounding RFLCT skincare continues to unfold. The new skincare brand, developed by Ideavation Labs, faces criticism due to its questionable claims about the effects of artificial blue light on the skin. Yesterday, Twitch streamer Atrioc accidentally leaked private direct messages (DMs) between Valkyrae and fellow Twitch personality Ludwig.

Atrioc’s Leak during Twitch Rivals Stream

During a Twitch Rivals stream featuring the popular game Fall Guys and a $50,000 prize pool, Atrioc, using Ludwig’s computer, unintentionally revealed their Discord app, showcasing the messages exchanged between Valkyrae and Ludwig. The tournament saw the participation of several top streamers, including xQc, Sykkuno, BrookeAB, and MoistCr1TiKaL.

Although the leaked DMs between Valkyrae and Ludwig were only visible for a brief moment, it was long enough to shed light on Valkyrae’s stance regarding the ongoing controversy. Valkyrae expressed her trust in her team and the research that had been presented to her. This sentiment was reiterated passionately during her YouTube stream on October 23. Ludwig empathized with Valkyrae’s situation and shared his thoughts on Ideavation Labs, the manufacturer behind RFLCT.

Ludwig stated, “I feel like they’re playing the long game and don’t want to show any studies, but do want to use your reputation to still be able to sell the product in the short term, which is just terrible for you.”

Concerns over Secret Research by Ideavation Labs

Ideavation Labs has faced criticism for refusing to publish their research, leading many to doubt its credibility and validity. Valkyrae revealed that major U.S. beauty distributor ULTA had invested $4 million in carrying the RFLCT line in their stores nationwide. She argued that ULTA’s investment indicated their belief in Ideavation Labs’ secret research. Understandably, Valkyrae remains frustrated with RFLCT.

Valkyrae expressed her frustrations to Ludwig, stating, “This ruins my brand if the research isn’t public. I really needed it to be public… I should have asked more questions, I just thought it was obvious it would be there.”

Feeling like a Victim

In their conversation, Valkyrae displayed self-criticism, claiming she would “embrace the scammer life.” However, it’s important to note that Valkyrae did not intentionally deceive her audience. Her genuine belief in the secret research suggests that she might have been manipulated as well.

Plans to Part Ways with RFLCT

Valkyrae intends to sever her partnership with RFLCT and terminate her contract. She revealed that she might not have signed one of the contracts in the RFLCT deal, potentially allowing her to exit without significant consequences.

However, Valkyrae encountered resistance from the PR and legal teams overseeing the brand deal, who expect her to make statements that she disagrees with. As an example, Valkyrae mentioned a proposed statement that reads, “While I will still be using RFLCT products, I hope nothing but the best for this passionate team.”

“LOLOL that’s psychopathic,” replied Ludwig.
