Latest patch for World of Warcraft introduces improvements to Torghast gameplay experience

World of Warcraft’s Torghast Dungeon Receives Quality of Life Adjustments

Last night, World of Warcraft’s endless dungeon, Torghast, Tower of the Damned, underwent another round of changes to enhance the player experience. These updates included quality of life adjustments, improvements to Anima Powers, and tweaks to bosses.

Major Cooldowns Reset and Reduced Difficulty

Now, when players transition to a new floor, major cooldowns for all classes will reset, eliminating unnecessary waiting time. This reset functionality aligns with the way cooldowns reset at the end of a raid encounter, impacting most abilities with a cooldown of three minutes or longer, as confirmed by Blizzard.

Furthermore, the health and damage of all creatures in Torghast have been reduced. At layer one, there is a six percent reduction, which increases to 26 percent at layer eight. This adjustment aims to make layer eight as challenging as layer six was prior to the change, while also proportionally reducing difficulty for other layer levels.

For those who prefer group runs, the health of all creatures in Torghast has been reduced by up to 25 percent. This makes the climb considerably less arduous. Additionally, the damage of creatures has been reduced by up to 20 percent for four and five-player groups.

Improved Anima Powers and Nerfed Bosses

As for Anima Powers, the starting Anima Cell in Torghast now offers a stronger selection of powers. Additionally, Anima Cells dropped by rare creatures in the dungeon will always provide at least three choices to choose from.

In terms of boss fights, two particularly challenging bosses, Elder Longbranch and Decayspeaker, have been nerfed. Elder Longbranch’s heal of time ability, Bounty of the Forest, now has an increased cast time of four seconds (previously two seconds), and the time between casts has been extended to 45 seconds (previously 30 seconds). Decayspeaker’s Hardened Shell ability now requires only six attacks or skills to remove, down from nine.

An Enjoyable Dungeon Experience

All in all, these changes aim to enhance the overall experience of Torghast, making the dungeon more enjoyable for players.
