KingGothalion makes the switch from Twitch to Mixer

Popular Twitch Streamer Cory “KingGothalion” Michael Joins Microsoft’s Mixer Platform

Today, popular Twitch streamer Cory “KingGothalion” Michael announced on Twitter that he will be making the transition to Microsoft’s Mixer platform.

KingGothalion, also known as Gothalion or “Goth” for short, is a successful streamer who is famous for his adventures in popular shooter games like Destiny 2 and Borderlands. But he is not just known for his gaming skills; he has also made a significant impact on the gaming community as one of the founders of the GuardianCon charity event, which has recently been rebranded as Gaming Community Expo or GCX.

In a short video on Twitter, Gothalion explained his decision, stating that one of the reasons for switching platforms was Mixer and Microsoft’s strong support for broadcasters.

“I believe that working closely with Xbox and Microsoft will not only help us advance what we’re doing, but also promote something that has always been important to the channel, which is doing good in gaming,” said Gothalion.

Gothalion is the second major Twitch streamer to join Mixer this week, following Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek’s announcement on Thursday.

After Tyler “Ninja” Blevins made the move to Mixer this summer, it is evident that Microsoft and Mixer are poised to make a significant impact in the streaming industry. We can only wonder which big streamer will be the next to make the switch.
