Keemstar Announces Retirement from YouTube

Popular YouTuber and DramaAlert host Keemstar, who has nearly 6 million subscribers, has announced his retirement today. After being on the platform since 2009, Keemstar has been involved in numerous controversies throughout his career.

Last year, H3H3’s Ethan Klein released a three-part video series on YouTube that exposed Keemstar’s problematic behavior. As a consequence, his GFuel sponsorship was terminated.

Keemstar’s Retirement Announcement on Twitter

Keemstar took to Twitter to announce his retirement from YouTube today. In a video, he assured viewers that this was not a prank and expressed his sincere intention to leave the platform. At 39 years old, Keemstar suggested that his age might be a factor influencing his decision to retire after a 12-year career on YouTube.

Keemstar stated, “I am retiring. I know I’ve said a million times that I’m never leaving the internet, that I’m never retiring, but I really am.”

Internet Reaction and Keemstar’s Controversial Past

The internet’s response to Keemstar’s retirement announcement appears to be one of relief. In the past, he has faced accusations of racism, alleged pedophilia, and displaying a lack of respect towards terminally ill individuals. Additionally, Keemstar has been involved in ongoing online feuds with other influencers, including Hasan Piker, a Twitch streamer and political commentator.
