Kai Cenat’s Subathon Nearly Derailed by Encounter with Banned User on Twitch

Kai Cenat’s Subathon Takes an Unexpected Turn

Last night, Kai Cenat’s subathon encountered a potential disruption just hours into the month-long broadcast.

An Unfortunate Guest

During an online speed dating segment, Kai’s friend introduced a woman named lildedjanet to the stream. However, unbeknownst to Cenat, her Twitch channel with the same name is currently suspended.

Twitch’s Strict Rules

Twitch has strict regulations regarding ban evasion, including restrictions on banned streamers appearing on other creators’ channels. If a creator knowingly hosts a banned or suspended creator on their channel, they can face suspension for assisting in a ban evasion attempt.

Kai’s Quick Response

Upon discovering that lildedjanet might be suspended from the platform, Kai promptly removed her from the stream. He then went on a comically exaggerated PR rant, making it clear that he does not support ban evasion.

“I didn’t know, I swear to god,” he said. “Twitch gods, please. I did not know. That’s on her, right? That’s not on me? … I’m panicking, bro. … Chat, I didn’t even know. I was not aware. Let me say something right quick. If you guys don’t know, once you’re banned on Twitch, you’re banned on Twitch. I don’t condone that. On behalf of Twitch, if you’re banned on here please stay off the platform so this can be a safe environment. If you know you’re banned on Twitch, unfortunately, you cannot participate in any that are on Twitch.”

After a brief pause, Kai concluded his speech with a postscript: “Free DEO.”

DEO refers to BruceDropEmOff, a streamer recently banned on Twitch for attempting ban evasion. He used his main account to stream after his alternate account was suspended. The suspension came after an aggressive rant against critics following his departure from the organization One True King (OTK). Kai and Bruce, both from Georgia, have collaborated on content in the past.

It is unclear whether Kai’s actions were a mere stunt or if he genuinely did not know about the guest’s ban. Twitch would struggle to prove intent given how Kai swiftly handled the situation.
