According to Cena, this new venture is aimed at gaining a deeper understanding of these avenues, just as people may be unfamiliar with the WWE.
Cena, the 16-time WWE champion, emphasized the passion, fandom, and storytelling involved in these new areas of interest. Despite the surprise of many at the fact that Cena follows over 300,000 people on Twitter, he sees it as a way to constantly learn and broaden his horizons.
The wrestling icon manually follows 1,000 new users every day, admitting that it can be a less exciting task. However, Cena believes that the end result is worth it because it allows him to gain a broader understanding of various topics and hopefully build a community. He hopes that those who browse through the accounts he follows on Twitter will come across some of the messages he has sent.
Despite his roots in professional wrestling, Cena has recently expanded his career to include acting in movies and TV shows. His latest series, PEACEMAKER, is set to premiere on HBO Max on January 13.
