IShowSpeed alleges being incarcerated following a YouTube swatting incident, Adin Ross later aids in securing his release

Swatting Incident Lands YouTuber IShowSpeed in Jail

Just days after being swatted on stream, popular YouTuber IShowSpeed is back in action. However, the aftermath of the incident was far from smooth as he claims to have been put in jail, and it was fellow streamer Adin Ross who had to bail him out.

The incident occurred on Monday, Aug. 8, when Speed found himself surrounded by police officers and arrested based on a false report that labeled him as a threat.

As the camera turned off, he could be seen pleading his case.

Shortly after, Ross assured everyone that Speed was okay, albeit shaken up. Surprisingly, Speed himself remained quiet about the incident.

However, during his stream on Aug. 11, Speed made a triumphant return. “Guess who’s back!” he exclaimed energetically to the camera.

“I went to jail and took it like a G. Ain’t nobody mess with me. Come on now! I looked everybody in the eye, and they didn’t do shit!”

Fans were unsure if he was joking. They reasoned that since he was a victim of swatting, he couldn’t have done anything wrong to end up in jail. It just didn’t make sense. Some even suggested that he may have staged the whole incident for YouTube content.

In response, Speed affirmed that Ross had indeed bailed him out, which appeared genuine.

“I do want to give a shoutout to my man Adin for bailing me out,” he expressed his gratitude. “I really appreciate him. They only let me get one phone call.”

Inquiring about the bail amount, a fan asked, and Speed replied, “It was $20,000. My boy Adin came in clutch. He paid it fully. He wired it. He wasn’t in town, so he wired it to the confederation of the department I was in.”

After that, Speed said the process was straightforward. The police returned his belongings and let him go on his merry way. Now that he’s back to doing what he does best, his fans couldn’t be happier.

Assuming the incident is true, the swatting incident has been a minor hiccup in an otherwise amazing journey for IShowSpeed. As the fastest-growing content creator in YouTube streaming, he continues to thrive and shows no signs of slowing down.
