Is Pokimane facing a potential ban on Twitch?

Pokimane’s Wardrobe Malfunction: Will She Get Banned from Twitch?

Last night, popular content creator Pokimane experienced a wardrobe mishap that could potentially get her in trouble with Twitch.

While interacting with her chat, part of Pokimane’s breast slipped out of her top. Upon realizing it, she immediately covered up and apologized.

“Oh, I’m sorry,” she said, “My bra, oh no.”

Concerned about the incident being publicized, Pokimane took immediate action to remove any clips or videos of the mishap from her stream and Twitch.

Although a clip of the wardrobe malfunction made it to the popular Livestream Fails Reddit page, it was quickly moderated.

Some viewers may question if Pokimane should be banned based on Twitch’s guidelines on nudity. However, it’s important to note that Twitch is more forgiving when accidents happen.

Will Pokimane Face Suspension?

Considering how Pokimane promptly addressed the clothing issue during her stream, deleted clips and videos, and took precautions to limit video circulation, it’s unlikely that her account will be suspended.

Furthermore, since the incident occurred a while ago, Twitch would have likely issued a suspension by now if disciplinary action was necessary.

Twitch allows women to show cleavage on stream as long as they keep their nipples covered and do not expose their underbust.

During the incident, Pokimane ensured that her bra was the only thing exposed, with no evidence of her nipple showing. She also took steps to minimize the spread of the video.

Moreover, one of the best defenses against a ban for Pokimane is the “IRL streaming” exception in Twitch’s community guidelines. This exception allows broadcasters and their guests to follow standard body-coverage expectations while streaming outside the home. If accidental nudity occurs, immediate action should be taken to remove the content and prevent future incidents.

Pokimane’s track record of following the rules works in her favor. Her channel has only received one suspension, which was a two-day ban in January of this year after streaming “Avatar: The Last Airbender”.
