Ubisoft’s Hyper Scape: A Unique Battle Royale Experience
Since July, PC players have been able to download Ubisoft’s Hyper Scape for free. Unlike other popular battle royale games, Hyper Scape stands out with its arena-like shooting mechanics and unique voting system. Players can vote on in-game events that change the course of matches, such as reducing gravity or granting unlimited ammunition. Integration with CrownCast Twitch Add-On
One notable feature of Hyper Scape is its close integration with Ubisoft’s CrownCast Twitch add-on. Viewers can vote on in-game events, adding variety to each match. This system allows players to jump multiple times, grant them special abilities, and provide unlimited ammo.
Console Releases and Season 1
Hyper Scape was initially released for PC, but on August 11, it became available on PlayStation and Microsoft Store. This expansion also marked the start of the game’s first season. Season 1 introduces new guns, a reporting tool, CrownCast events to vote for, and additions to the game’s lore.
Update on Crossplay Feature
Despite releasing on PS4 and Xbox One, Ubisoft has not yet enabled the crossplay feature for Hyper Scape. However, Ubisoft has stated in a blog post that they plan to introduce crossplay at a later date. When it does arrive, players will have the option to enable or disable cross-platform compatibility based on personal preference.
In the meantime, Ubisoft has activated cross-progression, allowing players to switch between consoles and PC while retaining their progress.
