Korone’s Unique “Furball” Outfit
VTubers often celebrate milestones with new costumes. Recently, many Hololive VTubers received summer outfits and 3D models for their anniversaries. However, Korone stands out with her unique “Furball” model.
The “Furball” model depicts Korone as an adorable puppy, deviating from the typical anime-style features of VTubers. This model has gained popularity due to its distinct appearance, which her audience adores. However, since she personally created the model, it becomes a bit complicated for her to use. Korone wants to clarify that her choices are not driven by jealousy.
During a stream on Sept. 19, 2022, Korone explained why her furball model does not receive as much screen time as her other models. Her reason boils down to consideration.
“For example, if I continuously use all the stuff made for me, it might create a sense of unfairness,” she explained, likely referring to her desire to prevent any ill feelings among other Hololive talents.
Korone emphasized that this is not a rule imposed by management but a decision she made for herself. She discussed it with management, and they reached the same conclusion.
Hololive is a close-knit community, often referred to as a family by the VTubers themselves. Korone wishes to maintain this unity and avoid any disruptions. As devoted followers of the Furball faction, we must patiently await its return.
