‘If gambling is banned on Twitch, hot tubs must go too,’ says Adin Ross

Adin Ross Criticizes Twitch for Banning Gambling Streams But Not Hot Tub Streams

Adin Ross, a popular streamer, expressed his dissatisfaction with Twitch’s decision to ban gambling streams but not hot tub streams, which he believes are in the same category. During a recent stream, Ross argued that hot tub streams should also be banned as they promote content similar to “soft porn,” leading to addictive behavior.

In his opinion, hot tub streams act as a gateway to platforms like OnlyFans, which he considers to be detrimental and addictive. Ross compared this to the negative effects of gambling streams. He further emphasized that his stance is a fact, regardless of anyone’s agreement or disagreement, even though some fans found his position paradoxical. Additionally, they called him out for engaging in NSFW behavior on-stream, which contradicts his argument against such content.

Notably, Ross is not the only streamer who opposes hot tub streams. xQc also criticized them as “the most pathetic thing we’ve seen on Twitch” and urged Twitch to remove them.

Despite the criticism, hot tub streams have become prevalent on the platform and even have their own category. However, viewers have the option to block them if they wish. Instructions on how to do so can be found here. Although Twitch is unlikely to ban hot tub streams, users can still filter them out if they prefer.
