Among Us has seen a massive influx of new and returning players as it gains popularity on streaming platforms like Twitch. This two-year-old party game, known for its mafia-like gameplay, has become a favorite among streamers and friend groups worldwide.
While Among Us is affordable on PC and free on mobile platforms, it also offers cosmetic items that players can purchase to customize their characters. Seasonal cosmetics, like Santa hats, are often released by InnerSloth during holiday periods. With the game being around since 2018, it’s not surprising to see many players showing off these limited-time items.
However, you don’t have to wait for the holiday season to add these skins to your collection. There’s a way to obtain time-locked skins right now.
How to Get Halloween and Christmas Skins in Among Us
Unlocking all the seasonal hats that were given away in the past requires adjusting the time and date settings on your PC or mobile device.
For PC users:
- Right-click on the date and time located at the bottom right corner of your screen.
- Select “Adjust date/time” from the menu and turn off “Set time automatically.”
- Click on “Set the date and time manually” and change the date to Oct. 10, 2019 to unlock last year’s Halloween skins.
- You can try different date combinations for other holidays like Christmas and Easter, but remember that the game was released on June 15, 2018.
- Confirm your new date settings and relaunch Among Us.
- Join a match or create a game and use the in-game computer to customize your character.
- You should now have access to the seasonal hats from the date you entered in your inventory.
If you can’t see your new items, try joining a public match and walking around for a while. Then leave the lobby and create a private game to see if you have the skins.
On iOS and Android devices, you can follow a similar procedure by adjusting your mobile device’s date and time settings. After confirming that you’ve received the hats, you can revert back to the original date and time.
