Host of D.I.C.E. Awards publicly criticizes live performance of Warcraft III: Reforged by Blizzard

‘Warcraft III: Reforged’ Receives Criticism at the D.I.C.E. Awards

During the 23rd edition of the D.I.C.E. Awards, co-hosts Jessica Chobot and Greg Miller took the stage to introduce the games and nominees of the night. Chobot didn’t miss the opportunity to take a dig at Blizzard’s ‘Warcraft III: Reforged’ which has faced heavy criticism.

The Burn at the Awards

Chobot humorously mentioned ‘Telling Lies’, a narrative game, and compared it to Blizzard’s troubled release of ‘Warcraft III: Reforged’. She even commented on Blizzard’s censorship controversy. Miller joined in, adding his own humorous comment regarding the Hong Kong protests.

The Backlash Continues

Blizzard has faced backlash not only for the issues with ‘Warcraft III’, but also for its handling of a Hearthstone pro player’s protest supporting Hong Kong. After significant public criticism and pressure, Blizzard reconsidered its decision and reduced the player’s suspension and returned their earnings.
