Popular VTuber Hoshimachi Suisei Takes Break for Health Reasons
Due to serious health concerns, VTuber Hoshimachi Suisei has decided to take a break from streaming for the next month and a half. Suisei, known for her content on YouTube as part of Hololive, has 1.59 million subscribers and has become a fan favorite. Unfortunately, her recent announcement revealed that her throat issues have worsened over the years, leading to the need for a break from content creation.
Health Issues and Surgery
On September 15th, Suisei shared with her fans that she has been consulting with doctors about ongoing throat problems. While her nose has shown some improvement from chronic rhinitis, there is still swelling and excessive mucus flowing down her throat. As a result, surgery is being considered to remove nodules in her throat that are causing the mucus to get caught.
These throat problems have prevented Suisei from singing for the past nine months. However, with the surgery, she hopes to be able to perform again, although there may be changes to her voice. She reassures her fans that there is minimal risk involved and asks them not to worry about it.
Support from Fans and Other VTubers
Despite potential changes in her voice, Suisei’s viewers have expressed their support. She mentions that her voice has already changed multiple times since she started VTubing, and she doesn’t mind if it changes again as long as she can continue enjoying singing. During her recovery period, Suisei has videos scheduled to keep fans entertained, and there is a possibility that she may return earlier than expected, as VTuber Usada Pekora did after a similar break.
