G2 team member and VCT representative voices disappointment with ‘complete situation’ following CEO Carlos’ encounter with Andrew Tate

A G2 Esports Content Creator Speaks Out Against Organization’s CEO

Jakub “Lothar” Szygulski, a content creator signed to G2 Esports and a prominent voice in the VALORANT Champions Tour in Europe, has openly criticized the recent actions of the organization’s CEO.

Lothar expressed his dissatisfaction with a video posted by G2 CEO Carlos “Ocelote” Rodríguez Santiago, in which Ocelote is seen celebrating with influencer Andrew Tate. Tate has faced controversy due to his misogynistic comments.

“Hey, no comment from me, my tweet says it all,” responded Lothar when asked for comment by .

Tate has been banned from various platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, due to his ideologies aimed at a predominantly young audience. He has been heavily criticized for his derogatory comments about women and his alleged mistreatment of them. It is unclear why Tate and Ocelote were celebrating together, as Ocelote’s caption of “yesterday we celebrated G2’s world championship” does not correspond to any recent victory for the organization. Nevertheless, Ocelote defended his friendship with Tate in a later tweet, stating that “nobody will ever be able to police my friendships.”

Lothar is one of the few current G2 employees who have publicly addressed the video. Lothar, who previously played Hearthstone competitively and then transitioned to Fortnite professionally, has found success as a caster and analyst in VALORANT. He has openly expressed his dislike for Tate on both his Twitch chat and Twitter feed. Additionally, he has not hesitated to call out individuals or groups engaging in inappropriate behavior that appears to be inspired by Tate’s views.

Recently, G2 Esports announced the creation of an all-female League of Legends team called G2 HEL, adding another all-female roster to their organization. The players on this team have been vocal about their excitement to inspire other women seeking opportunities in esports. At this time, none of the players on the roster have commented on Ocelote’s video or tweet.
