Pro Fortnite Player and Streamer Clix Permanently Banned on Twitch
Popular Fortnite player and streamer Clix has received a permanent ban from Twitch.
Clix took to Twitter to announce that his suspension is indefinite and the only way to get his account back is by appealing the ban.
No specific reason was given by Twitch for the ban, but commenters speculated that it could be related to explicit content being shown during one of Clix’s streams. However, Clix quickly ended the stream and removed the video-on-demand (VOD) from his channel.
Theory also suggests that the ban may be a result of multiple DMCA violations for playing copyrighted music while streaming.
This is not the first time Clix has been banned from Twitch. He received a 30-minute ban in August 2019, followed by a three-day ban in November 2019.
The most recent ban came just hours after Clix finished competing in the 2021 Fortnite Champion Series. It is unclear when he will be allowed to stream again.
Clix signed exclusively with Twitch in October 2020. After his tweet about the ban, his management team at NRG stated that they are working on having it lifted.
This article will be updated if any further information regarding the ban becomes available.
