Fall Guys achieves over 500,000 viewers on Twitch during its launch

The Whimsical Battle Royale, Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, Surpasses 500,000 Viewers on Twitch

The beta version of Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout hinted at the game’s potential popularity, and on its launch day, Mediatonic’s whimsical battle royale attracted over 500,000 viewers on Twitch.

According to TwitchMetrics, the game reached a peak of 510,369 viewers and maintained an average viewer count of more than 245,000, securing its position as the top game on Twitch for August 4.

During the beta phase, which ran from July 24 to August 2, Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout averaged around 70,000 viewers. Combining this with the massive increase in viewership after the official launch, the game now boasts a monthly average of 78,666 viewers across approximately 206 channels.

In the first 24 hours, Mediatonic reported that over 1.5 million new players joined in on the mini-game action. Although it’s unclear whether this number includes players who participated in the beta, it remains an impressive feat for any game, especially an indie project, to achieve such results on its release day.

Despite some initial server problems and a case of negative review bombing on Fall Guys’ Steam page, the overall reception for the game has been predominantly positive.

On the second day, viewership is following a similar pattern, with an average of 200,000 viewers, securing Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout’s position at the top of Twitch.
