Esfand playfully imitates cross-dressing streamers using guilt-trips on viewers

A WoW Streamer Cross-Dresses and Spoofs Just Chatting Streamers

Yesterday, Esfand, a popular content creator for World of Warcraft, took his appearance to a new level by cross-dressing and role-playing as a stereotypical “Just Chatting” streamer. This move caught the attention of Twitch viewers, who have been flocking to the platform during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Esfand’s goal was to imitate female streamers in the Just Chatting category who cater to male viewers seeking companionship. So, he put on lipstick and blonde hair to become one of those streamers himself.

Embracing the Role with Humor

Channeling the persona of a typical southern mom, Esfand was instantly compared to Carol Baskin and Paula Deen. As he adopted this character, he shamelessly farmed for donations and subscriptions, mocking other streamers who have been criticized for similar practices.

“I understand times are tough,” he said. “We’re in a pandemic, but $5 is just $5, right? It’s not a lot, but with only $5, you can subscribe. Any stimulus checkers out there?”

The mention of “stimulus checkers” deserves a chuckle, as it parodies those who donate to streamers using the government-issued financial aid intended to help people navigate the economic downturn caused by the pandemic.

In a satirical fashion, Esfand continued his role play by guilt-tripping viewers, poking fun at a recent Just Chatting streamer who faced severe criticism for genuinely using this tactic.

Adopting the Persona

Esfand further embraced the role by mimicking a viral clip from another Just Chatting streamer, InvaderVie. This streamer garnered backlash for suggesting that viewers who couldn’t afford to subscribe shouldn’t be watching Twitch.

To enhance his portrayal, Esfand placed one knee over the other, appearing more ladylike in his performance.

“It ain’t difficult,” he joked. “I know many people are struggling, but I’m more important than all of you.”
