Dr Disrespect Issues Apology for Controversial “Mobile Gamers Aren’t True Gamers” Statement

Dr Disrespect Apologizes for Comments on Mobile Gamers

Popular streamer Dr Disrespect issued an apology in a recent YouTube stream for his previous statement that mobile gamers are not “real gamers”.

The Apology

During the stream, Dr Disrespect, also known as “The Doc”, was playing and chatting with professional PUBG Mobile player and content creator for Fnatic, Tanmay “Sc0utOP” Singh. They discussed handheld gaming, during which Dr Disrespect addressed a tweet he posted in 2019 where he made the controversial statement about mobile gamers.

Clearing the Air

The Doc admitted that the tweet was a spur-of-the-moment comment and wanted to get ahead of any potential controversy. He said to Sc0utOP, “Not sure if you ever saw my tweet, so I just want to get ahead of the controversy, about me saying that mobile gamers aren’t real gamers. It was a spur moment. I just want to make sure that I get ahead of it.” Sc0utOP laughed it off and reassured Dr Disrespect that it was completely fine.

Playing Together

This was the first time Dr Disrespect and Sc0utOP played together. The Doc recently moved to YouTube after being banned from Twitch for undisclosed reasons. Sc0utOP is known for his high viewership numbers as a solo streamer, with a recent peak of over 358,000 viewers.

Gameplay and Viewership

During their stream, Dr Disrespect and Sc0utOP played Call of Duty: Warzone and Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout. According to AFK Gaming, Sc0utOP’s stream reached a peak viewership of 128,000 people, while Dr Disrespect had a peak viewership of 104,000 people.
