Dr Disrespect alleges that EA has placed him on a shadow ban list

Dr Disrespect Claims EA Has Put Him on a Shadow Ban List

Famous streamer Dr Disrespect revealed during his YouTube livestream today that he has been placed on EA’s shadow ban list. This isn’t the first ban he has faced since being permanently banned from Twitch.

DrDisrespect, addressing his 30,000 viewers, stated, “Champs, I am on a shadow ban list. Since the purple snake scummy ban, we’ve taken a hit on so many things behind the scenes, champs.”

The term “purple snake” used by Dr Disrespect refers to Twitch, the streaming platform he spent over five years on. In June 2020, Dr Disrespect received a permanent ban from Twitch, with the exact reasons still unknown. However, it was significant enough to prompt a lawsuit from the popular streamer.

In this clip, Dr Disrespect suggests that his Twitch ban has had a negative impact on his career and potential opportunities. He previously collaborated with major game publishers within the FPS and battle royale genres. However, he now claims that his relationships with these companies have been severely affected.

Dr Disrespect remarked, “Have you noticed that… I mean there’s a reason that Activision doesn’t do a Call of Duty partner code or we don’t directly work with Call of Duty or haven’t been. All the stuff we did with EA, and the connections, and the relationships that we built over the years…”

Despite being able to play EA games like the recently released Battlefield 2042, Dr Disrespect is likely unable to pursue any partnerships or brand deals with the game publisher due to the ban.
