DisguisedToast opens up about one of his major career regrets, reflects on the obstacles that hindered his potential growth on Facebook

DisguisedToast Reflects on a Missed Opportunity during His Streaming Career

DisguisedToast, a popular content creator known for his presence in the streaming world and YouTube, recently shared his regret about a decision that he believes hindered his growth as a streamer.

A Missed Chance During the Among Us Craze

During a Q&A stream on June 2nd, DisguisedToast was asked about any regrets he had in his streaming career. The 30-year-old streamer responded that although he doesn’t regret signing with Facebook Gaming in late 2019, he feels that he missed out on an incredible opportunity when Among Us became a viral sensation on Twitch.

The Impact of Being on a Different Platform

DisguisedToast expressed his belief that if he had remained on Twitch during the Among Us craze, he could have reached a much larger audience. He mentioned that he was the top content creator for the game within the streaming community, but being on a platform with fewer viewers limited his potential reach.

The Potential for Massive Viewership

DisguisedToast speculated that if he had stayed on Twitch during the peak phase of Among Us, he could have attracted between 50,000 and 60,000 viewers per stream. Furthermore, with the rise of collaborative lobbies featuring well-known creators from various platforms, he believes he could have even hit 100,000 viewers. These lobbies included popular figures like Pokimane, Pewdiepie, and politicians advocating for voting in the U.S. presidential election.

Despite the missed opportunity on Twitch, DisguisedToast still experienced significant growth on his YouTube channel. His Among Us content continues to accumulate millions of views, and his highlight videos consistently receive six-figure views.
