The final duel of the Twitch Rivals Rust event today between teams Dhalucard and TheGrefg ended in disappointment for the primarily Spanish team.

Twitch Rivals Rust Event Overshadowed by Controversy

The first Twitch Rivals Rust event in May was marred by a conflict involving several Spanish-speaking streamers. Many believed that the competition was unfair and biased against Spanish streamers. In the latest iteration of Twitch Rivals, TheGrefg’s team sought to prove themselves.

Team Disguised Toast Dominates in Twitch Rivals Grudge Match

The four-day Twitch Rivals grudge match featured four major teams led by prominent streamers. Team Disguised Toast established a significant lead over their competitors during the first two days, with Teams Dhalucard and xQc close behind. Unfortunately, Team TheGrefg, the sole Spanish team, remained at the back of the pack. On the third day, Team TheGrefg made some risky decisions in an attempt to catch up.

Squaring off against Team xQc for most of the day, the Spanish team shifted their focus to Team Dhalucard’s base. In a last-ditch effort to surpass their closest competitor in points, Team TheGrefg launched a raid. However, their ambitious charge was quickly thwarted as their helicopter was blasted by rockets from the defender’s base. Despite a few survivors, the raid was effectively over.

Unfortunately, Team TheGrefg’s mistakes on the third day ensured their elimination from the Twitch Rivals event. This was a disappointing outcome for the team and their countless followers.
