Devolver Digital issues an apology for the cancellation of authentic Fall Guys copies

Devolver Digital issues apology and resolves exploited game key issue for Fall Guys

Devolver Digital, the publisher of the popular game Fall Guys, has issued an official apology after inadvertently revoking legitimate copies of the game while attempting to stop scammers. The company took action against resellers who were mass-purchasing Fall Guys at an incorrect price in the Argentina region.

Upon discovering this exploit, Devolver Digital promptly raised the price of the game and nullified the affected game keys. However, this unintentionally caused valid copies purchased by customers to be canceled as well. These affected consumers were left without access to Fall Guys and faced the prospect of having to pay extra to obtain the game again due to the increased price.

To rectify the situation, the publisher has requested those affected to send an email to support@devolverdigital.com with their associated details and email address in order to recover their copy of the game.

Devolver Digital expressed gratitude to fans for their support and promised to “do better moving forward” and to take care of everyone who was affected by this issue.

Fall Guys continues to soar in popularity

Fall Guys has quickly become a gaming phenomenon, surpassing League of Legends in average viewership on Twitch with over 182,000 viewers. Meanwhile, League of Legends had 174,000 viewers. The game is also making waves in the esports world, with the first edition of Twitch Rivals featuring Fall Guys set to take place on Aug. 28.
