David Gaudu renews streaming presence before Tour de France

Professional Cyclist David Gaudu Streams Tour de France 2022 Game

After his impressive stage victory at a recent world competition in June, professional cyclist David Gaudu went live today to showcase the new Tour de France 2022 game.

Gaudu’s stream started shortly after it was confirmed that he would be participating in the actual Tour de France in July, as a member of his team.

Upon starting the stream, Gaudu received a wave of new follows and subscribers. Many of them came back to renew their subscriptions after his hiatus from Twitch. During his break from streaming, Gaudu trained and competed in the Critérium du Dauphiné, where he triumphed over race-favorite Wout van Aert in stage three. Van Aert had prematurely celebrated his apparent victory.

In his previous streams, Gaudu played Pro Cycling Manager 2021. He created a rider based on himself and worked on building his virtual cycling career to mirror his real-life accomplishments. In the game, Gaudu is also an NPC and a member of the Groupama-FDJ team if the player chooses to manage the French squad. Gaudu even expressed his desire for higher base stats in the 2021 version of the game.

To his surprise, when playing Tour de France 2022 for the first time, Gaudu discovered that he was listed as a favorite for the first stage of the actual tour. It seems that the developers at Cyanide Studio have done a better job this time in capturing his character in the game.

In the first stage of the game, Gaudu managed his team to victory, although some riders proved to be tough opponents even for a professional player like him. Slovenian cyclist Tadej Pogačar has incredibly strong stats in both the 2022 versions of Tour de France and Pro Cycling Manager. Gaudu couldn’t manage to outperform him.

Gaudu’s next stream is scheduled for Thursday, June 23 at 10am CT, where he will be trying out Pro Cycling Manager 2022.
