Could Adept-xQc’s “common law marriage” drama lead Veibae to take Sodapoppin to court?

Sodapoppin and Veibae: A Case of Virtual Marriage?

Sodapoppin, a popular Twitch streamer, and his girlfriend Veibae may not have any official marriage papers, but a recent stream conversation has sparked an interesting debate. Veibae, a VTuber, made a bold claim, stating that she could prove in court that they are indeed married.

While there doesn’t seem to be any public turmoil between the couple that would lead to a legal battle, the ongoing dispute between another Twitch streamer, xQc, and his ex-girlfriend Adept, has brought up the concept of “common law marriage.”

Common Law Marriage: A Legal Loophole?

Documents released in the past few months suggest that Adept is attempting to prove in court that she and xQc were in a common law marriage, which doesn’t require any official paperwork. It appears that her goal is to establish this marriage and then seek compensation through a divorce settlement.

Veibae, on the other hand, has no plans of leaving Sodapoppin anytime soon. However, she made it clear that if she wanted to, she could present a strong argument for their virtual wedlock.

“I could argue right now that that ring you’re wearing … I could say, ‘his camera is reversed and he’s actually wearing it on his fucking left finger, and he’s been saying he’s a dad and that he’s married,’” she said. “And I could take that to court and argue that we are married so, you know what? Checkmate.”

The more Veibae spoke, the harder it was for Sodapoppin to maintain a straight face. With a lot at stake in a potential divorce settlement, all he could say was, “What the fuck. That’s messed up.”
