Content creator LilyPichu switches from Twitch to YouTube in a notable deal

LilyPichu Joins YouTube, Leaving Twitch

Popular content creator LilyPichu has made the switch from Twitch to YouTube, joining a growing number of creators who have made the move.

In a video announcement on Twitter, LilyPichu, a member of OfflineTV known for her art and music content, sat in front of two buttons—one red and one purple. The buttons represented YouTube and Twitch, respectively.

Unable to make the decision herself, LilyPichu let one of her dogs choose by placing one purple and one red bowl in front of them. When the dog chose the red bowl with a cake decorated with a YouTube logo, Lily simply said, “good decision.”

LilyPichu’s first YouTube stream will be tomorrow on her channel, YouTube.com/LilyPichu. The exact time for her stream has not been specified in the announcement.

LilyPichu had been hinting at a big announcement with Twitter posts counting down to something. She now joins a handful of popular creators who have left Twitch for YouTube, including Sykkuno who made the switch in May.

In addition to the members of OfflineTV, other creators such as TimTheTatman, DrLupo, Valkyrae, and CouRage have already made the move. Dr Disrespect also exclusively streams on YouTube now, but his move was forced after being indefinitely suspended by Twitch for undisclosed reasons.

LilyPichu has averaged 5,508 viewers on Twitch so far this year, with a peak of 32,137. She has accumulated a total of 2.9 million hours watched, according to Streams Charts. On the platform, she creates a wide variety of content, with no single game making up more than a third of her total airtime of 531 hours in 2022. Her most played game is VALORANT with 145.5 hours of airtime, and she has spent 107.5 hours in Just Chatting. She has streamed in 28 different categories for more than two hours this year.
